THE KINGDOM PROJECTS (TKP) is a mustard seed that was planted in 1996.

The faithfulness of God has transformed the mustard seed into a tree today. Under this tree, birds are finding refuge, Christian professionals are locating their place in global missions and people with God’s call upon their lives are finding platforms for fulfilling their ministries. Nations are being reached, disciples are being raised, Churches are being planted, communities are being transformed through our community development projects, increasing number of missionaries are being recruited and God-loving people are being connected with their calling via our training programs. No doubt, the Lord has enlarged and is still enlarging the work; HE has spread our missionary activities to twenty countries.

In the Beginning

TKP was born in the city of Jos, on August 2nd 1996.

No formal launching. No funfair. Just two members of staff, (i.e. the Director and his wife) accompanied with their eight-month old baby-girl took off on this Abrahamic journey; committing the unknown future to a known God. This organization that had no address at the beginning now has resident missionaries in Nigeria, Benin Rep., Niger Rep., Togo, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Uganda, Cameroon, Australia, United Kingdom & United States of America. It also carries out outreaches in Chad, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi & South Africa.

The base
  • As at the time TKP started, big missionary organizations had an inexplicable attraction for Jos, the capital city of Plateau state. Being warned against status quo, we began to pray about where God wants us to be based. Ilorin was the answer that came from God. Exactly a year after, TKP moved her base to Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara state.

Planning the relocation was an uphill task; my wife was eight months pregnant and cash was not available to embark on the journey. We eventually moved our luggage by train. A CAPRO missionary offered to give my wife and our first daughter a ride to Ilorin while I joined a commercial bus. We arrived Ilorin on 6th August, 1997. After about two weeks of homelessness, the LORD miraculously gave us a place at Veterinary street, Ministry of Agric area of Kulende. Our landlord and his wife were so nice to us. At first, it was the B.Q. that was given to us for rent. After two years, he asked if we would be interested in renting the main house, so we moved into the main house. As at then, Veterinary street was not as developed as it is today. We had no choice than to accept and embrace what the LORD provided for us. Considering my frequent journeys and the difficulties of accessing the place whenever I return to town in the night, I made an attempt to get another place, but the LORD told me plainly “I PUT YOU HERE BECAUSE I NEED TO HIDE YOU”

We stayed in this house for 17 years. On a particular Sunday, sometimes in December 2012, the LORD spoke to me while alone in the house: “Your time is up here”. By Monday the following day, the landlord’s wife came to my office to give a one-year quit notice. Eventually, we moved out of the house by 25th June, 2014, having spent 17 years in the place where the LORD HID US.

AN ANGELIC VISITATION:

On the 2nd of September, less than one month after we arrived Ilorin and less than two weeks after we settled in the house where the LORD decided to hide us; we woke up with ninety naira (N90=). This kind of lean purse was a usual experience. Around 4pm, a brother came and told me that he would love to pay our rent for three months. He handed two thousand one hundred naira (N2,100=) to me and left. I attempted to walk him to the gate, but the brother disappeared. As soon as I returned to the house, my wife told me that she had a feeling our second baby would arrive that evening. By 6pm, we headed for the Maternity at Amilegbe. Thanks to our neighbour, Prof. Oluboyo who gave us the ride. By 9pm, my wife was delivered of our second daughter. By the time we were discharged the following day, we had spent exactly two thousand one hundred naira. It then dawned on me that the money brought the previous day was not actually for rent but for ‘baby delivery’.

The first office

Our first office in Ilorin was located on number 6, Veterinary Street, Kulende, Ilorin. It was a two-room Boys Quarters (BQ) which also doubled as the residence for the International Director and his family. The corporate head office moved to the 2nd Floor, 26, Sulu-Gambari road, Ilorin in August 1998.
This was where TKP Headquarters carries out her operations until the year 2018 when she moved to her own property on 7 Christ Avenue, off University Road, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

The first mission field
  • TKP’s first mission field in Nigeria was Lanwa and the surrounding communities. Activities in this field commenced in 1998. One of the villages in the environ of Lanwa is Elebu. Today, THE KINGDOM PROJECTS runs a missionary-oriented hospital in Elebu serving a cluster of rural communities. This hospital started operation in July, 2011. It has one medical doctor and two nurses.
Our first mission field outside Nigeria is Niger Republic. Work commenced among the Songhai people group in Tillabery town of Niger Republic in 1999. Our work expanded to Senegal in the year 2003. TKP International Director carried out a field survey in some part of West Africa when he travelled by road to Senegal in 2002. During this survey, St. Louis was identified as the base for our work among the Wolof people of Senegal. Sequel to all these preparations, a missionary lady was commissioned and sent to St. Louis, Senegal in February, 2003.

What we do

TKP Departments & Subsidiaries

Having been warned against status quo and being instructed to stick to the bottom-line in missionary activities, we continuously seek God’s face on the Biblical and realistic ways of mobilizing and equipping the people of God for global missions. Various departments & subsidiaries have been established at various times as God has been opening our eyes and illuminating our hearts. Nothing was done by the wisdom of man or with the intention of embarking on an ego trip. To the glory of God, these subsidiaries have been commended to the hearts of men and they are enjoying increasing support from the Body of Christ. These subsidiaries are listed below:

  • Fellowship of Africa Christian Teachers (FACT)
  • Ambassadors Medical Missions (AMM)
  • Missions in African Campuses (MAC)
  • Women on Missions Intercessory Group (WOMIG)
  • Tentmakers Institute (T.I.)
  • Retired But Not Tired (RBNT)
  • Professionals in Missions (PIM)
  • Leadership Empowerment for Rural Evangelists & Pastors (LEREP)
  • Emergencies & Rescue Team
  • Sport Evangelism

These subsidiaries are having multiplier effect on missions resources. Labourers are increasing. Senders also are increasing. To God be the glory.

A Registered Associate

Anyone who feel convinced to join TKP at this level applies. A higher sense of commitment, availability and responsibility is required. Most often people grow from volunteer to this level.

An
intercessor

An intercessor is that individual who has made commitment to the Lord of the harvest to stand with TKP in the order of Moses, Hur and Aaron; lifting up holy hands in support of the great Commission assignment. Where possible, he/she joins other intercessors that meet at TKP offices or other locations. At individual level, such make use of tools like, Prayer calendar, around the world in 30days and other publications of TKP to pray.

A financial Partner

To be a partner with us simply means you prayerfully decide a means or method of financially supporting TKP missions on a regular basis. You can set aside a particular percentage (it may be as small as 5% or 3% and it may be more) of your income for missions. When you do that, you are playing your role in taking the Gospel around the world. In heaven, someone will thank you for the seeds you have sown into their lives. Because you gave, the missionaries were able to reach them and the outcome is evident through eternity.“Not everyone can go to the mission field, but everyone is expected by God to be a stakeholder in what is going on in the mission field.”

In any case, your conviction and prompting by the Holy Spirit is very crucial.
