INTRODUCTION

If we are serious about getting the best out of our teaching profession, there is a dire need for us to seek God’s mind about this precious secular work called Teaching. You must not live your entire life without laying hold on the sacred aspect of your secular work. FACT has the mandate of helping Christian Teachers understand the centrality of their teaching profession to God’s agenda for this end-time.

Who we are

We are a body of professional Christian Teachers that combine our secular teaching work with the spiritual responsibility of advancing Christ’s Kingdom. We operate at different levels, viz. local level, State level, national, and international level. Presently, we operate in some countries in West Africa, Central Africa and efforts are on to penetrate the Eastern, Northern & Southern Africa.

Fellowship of Africa Christian Teachers (FACT) came into existence in 2003 as a department of TKP (THE KINGDOM PROJECTS). Since then, it has been empowering Christian Teachers for:

Soul winning.
Discipleship
Church planting
Community transformation
Raising future leaders
Modeling Godliness
Molding destinies

AIMS OF FACT

Mobilizing Christian Teachers towards serving God with their profession.
Training Christian Teachers on how to combine their teaching work with the responsibility of raising disciples for Christ Jesus.
Facilitating Christian Teachers’ involvement in missions, by helping those who are called into cross-cultural missions get to the unreached nations.

WHAT WE DO

We provide a forum for fellowship, revival and mutual edification among Christian Teachers.
We equip (via training) Christian Teachers for missionary work and facilitate their getting to the missions field where they can combine teaching with mission work.
We provide resources (Magazines, books, tracts, documentaries, messages on CDs) for Christian Teachers’ personal development.
We act as consultants and counselors for proprietors who are seeking to run their schools the way God wants it run.
We supply Missionary Teachers where needs are most urgent.
Based on invitation, we run a customized training on Competence, Excellence, Loyalty and Integrity.
We establish schools for needy rural communities.

Our motto is: Faithfully Advancing Christ’s kingdom through our Teaching Profession.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

There are three specific areas in which you can be involved

1. BECOME A FACT MISSIONARY
  Upon conviction by the Lord of the harvest, any Christian teacher(s) can go for cross-cultural missionary work in or outside his country for a minimum period of one year. Young graduates can also decide to be missionary teachers for a specific period of time. Higher institution lecturers can spend their sabbaticals on the mission field.
2. BECOME A MEMBER
  This refers to joining this body and becoming actively involved in interceding for missions and missionaries, mobilizing other Christian Teachers to join FACT and supporting financially the missions activities of FACT.
3. BECOME A PARTNER
  Being a partner means prayerfully devising a means of supporting FACT on a regular basis. This may involve setting aside a particular amount for the support of the gospel work among the unreached peoples. By so doing, Missionary-Teachers would be able to reach the unreached peoples. Christians who are not teachers can also partner with FACT.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of FACT is open to all. Prospective members can be Tertiary Institution Lecturers, High School Teachers, Primary School Teachers, Instructors in Computer Schools, Youth Workers and Church Leaders, Final Year Students of Higher Institutions, Mission Leaders, Researchers, and other Christian Professionals.
Please note that membership does not change your church identity, as FACT is an interdenominational body. This will rather make you more effective in your church roles and duties.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER BECOMING A MEMBER OF FACT

The teaching profession puts teachers in direct contact with pupils/students and their parents.
Teaching is a profession that exposes people’s needs and weaknesses to you and provides you a unique opportunity to meet such needs and there upon present the gospel.
Teachers constitute the largest skilled work force in any country. What a place for the Lord of the harvest to recruit ambassadors (i.e. Missionaries).
The demand for teachers in the unreached nations is escalating daily. Every community desires to have a school. Even if they do not have any other thing, at least they want school(s) for their children. This increases the demand for teachers to touch lives in the remote and distant lands.
Teachers have a unique privilege of helping the young people shape their destiny.
